CREATIVE PERM AND HAIR CUTTING
Renowned stylist and educator, and now salon owner, Damian Santiago helped created Mizu New York with a goal of setting a new standard within the luxury salon industry.
With an impressive beginning, as the hairdresser on the Tony Award winning Broadway show, "A Chorus Line", he personally styled the show's star Donna McKecknie and created the original hairstyles for the entire cast.
Always committed to improving and growing he left the theater world for the challenge of a Vidal Sassoon Apprenticeship. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a member of the Artistic team. He both taught and learned from many international hairdressers worldwide during his decade long tenure with Vidal Sassoon.
Spending two decades at Bumble and bumble challenged Damian further and offered him more opportunities to grow and establish himself as a leader and mentor. While developing his eye for looks that work he continued to fine tune his skills.
Maintaining a contemporary edge, Damian is known for his versatility and strong haircuts that "get better as they grow out". Waves and curls/permanent waves have been a special passion throughout his career. His editorial credits, as a master perm artist, include Elle, Glamour, Mademoiselle, InStyle, Seventeen, Teen Vogue and the New York Times Fashion Magazine.
Extremely dedicated and passionate about his work, Damian's very loyal international client list includes beauty editors, social influencers, business leaders and celebrities.
He currently lives in New York city with his wife.
